DESCRIPTION
The Paws for a Cause 5K Series is returning to Louisville for another 5K Run/Walk. This Family/Dog Friendly event will benefit The Arrow Fund. The event is sponsored by Tito's Handmade Vodka and their Vodka for Dog People program. Get this event on your race calendar as a morning of fun is in store...all to help support our furry friends.

VIRTUAL RACE DETAILS
Not able to make Race Day but still want get some bling and support the charity? Then registering for the Virtual Race is just for you!! The Virtual Race can be run (or walked) anytime and anywhere…even indoors on a treadmill Simply register as a Virtual Runner, complete the distance anytime you desire and email us your results (be honest) to post. We will mail you a complete Paws for a Cause 5K goodie bag including T-Shirt, Finishers Medal, Race Bib and other Tito’s swag within 15 days of the conclusion of the event. (NOTE: Virtual participants are not eligible for Finishers and Age Group Awards)
POST RACE FESTIVITIES
Plan on making your way over to the Eagle Restaurant located at 1314 Bardstown Road in Louisville for the dog-friendly post race social. Here you can redeem your Tito's drink ticket and grab something off the menu...and maybe have another Tito's!! Thank you to the Eagle Restaurant for their hospitality.
THE ARROW FUND
We will be running to raise awareness and funds for The Arrow Fund. which is dedicated to increasing public awareness of all forms of animal cruelty by providing veterinary care and support to animal victims of extreme torture, abuse, and neglect and encouraging vigorous criminal prosecution of animal abusers. In addition, The Arrow Fund endorses and supports other animal protection efforts including, but not limited to: specialized animal welfare training for law enforcement; aggressive spay/neuter initiatives; humane education of children: and other programs that encourage a more humane world for animals.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This scenic route will take us around the Cherokee Park loop beginning at Hogans Fountain Pavilion.

RACE DAY DETAILS:
The run starts promptly at 9:00 AM. Onsite Registration and packet pick up begins at 7:30 AM. We recommend arriving early and giving yourself enough time get your your race packet and get to the start line. We ask that runners start in the front, with walkers and those with strollers start to the back. IMPORTANT NOTICE: This is a dog friendly event, however all dogs must be leashed at all times during the event. By regsitering and having a dog in attendance, you assume all liabilty and release all sponsors, organizers and municipalites from any liability arising from your pets actions.
PARKING:
They are currently remodeling the parking areas in Cherokee Park. City officials say there will be much more available by Race Day.
AWARDS:
All participants will receive a custom finishers medal. The top three male and female will be recognized as well as top male and female in predetermined age groups.
PRE RACE PACKET PICKUP
Pre Race Day Packet Pick Up will be held from 5:00-6:00 PM on Friday Augsut 10, 2018 at Cherokee Park.
