Der Vorverkauf ist beendet - es gibt noch reichlich Startnummern an der Tageskasse!

Wie angekündigt, ist der Vorverkauf nun beendet. Kein Problem: An der Tageskasse gibt es genügend viele Startnummern.

Die Tageskasse ist auf dem Start-/Zielgelände "Auf der Lach" in Rüdesheim und ab ca. 8 Uhr geöffnet. Außerdem kann man Startnummern an den Pausenplätzen in St. Goar, Koblenz und St. Goarshausen erwerben.

As announced, pre-selling is stopped now. No problem for you - there are enough bib numbers at the box office.

The box-office is at the start/finish "Auf der Lach" in Rüdesheim and opens at 8 a.m. You can also buy bib numbers in St. Goar, Koblenz and St. Goarshausen.

Was ist Rhine-on-Skates - und was nicht?

Rhine-on-Skates ist kein Wettrennen (wie die meisten Veranstaltungen auf raceresult.com), sondern eine geführte Tagestour auf Inlineskates mit Pausen, vorwiegend auf Bundesstraßen mit gutem Asphalt.
- your-sports.com wird zwar vorwiegend zur Anmeldung zu Veranstaltungen mit Wettkampfcharackter genutzt, aber eben nicht nur. :-)
Datum und Uhrzeit: Samstag, 25. August 2012, Start ca. 9:00 Uhr, Ankunft ca. 19:30 bis 20:00 Uhr.
Rhine-on-Skates findet in der imposanten Landschaft des UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe Oberes Mittelrheintal statt.
Die Gesamtstrecke beträgt ca. 135 km bei ca. 20 km/h (an der Spitze des Feldes auch schneller), wobei weniger konditionsstarke Skater dank der günstigen Verkehrsinfrastruktur im Mittelrheintal (mehrere Rheinfähren; zahlreiche Bahnhöfe auf beiden Rheinseiten) auch "abkürzen" können.
Start und Ziel sind in Rüdesheim am Rhein, Pausen gibt es in St. Goar, Koblenz und St. Goarshausen.
Die Tour findet 2012 zum 10. Mal statt und ist eine der größten und längsten Inline-Tagestouren Europas.

What is Rhine-on-Skates - and what is it not?

Rhine-on-Skates is not a competition (unlike most of the events at raceresult.com), rather a guided day tour on inline skates with breaks, mainly on smooth German roads.
- Your-sports.com is mainly used for registering for competitive events, however not exclusively for competitive events… :-)
Date and time: Saturday 25th August, 2012, start 9 am, finish approx. 7:30 - 8 pm.
Rhine-on-Skates takes place in the imposing landscape of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Upper Middle Rhine Valley".
The total distance is approx. 135 km (84 miles) at an average speed of 20 km/h (13 mph, the front of the field is faster). Not so sporty skaters can take a "short cut" using the good transport infrastructure in the Middle Rhine Valley (several Rhine ferries and numerous rail stations on both sides of the Rhine).
Start and finish are in Rüdesheim on the Rhine, breaks are in St. Goar, Koblenz and St. Goarshausen.
The tour in 2012 is taking place for the 10th time and is one Europe's largest and longest inline day tour.
