PACKET PICK-UP AND DELIVERY UPDATE 4/26
Sorry for the delay in posting an update. We had a great turn out on Sunday for Packet Pick-Up with over 70 people coming in and grabbing their "stuff". With that sort of turn out we are happy to announce that we will be sending out the remaining particpant "stuff" at NO CHARGE through the mail. Please be patient as we have Races back to back in the coming weeks we are getting ready for, but they will get to you!! Thanks again to everyone for being patient and understanding...we're making every effort to get everybody their"stuff".
THURSDAY 4/19 UPDATE
Hello everyone. We appreciate your patience as we try to come up with a plan for as many people as possible to get the swag from this cancelled event. Per the Rules of Participation there are no refunds for this event but we want to attempt to make everyone as happy as possible under the circumstances we were dealt by Mother Nature last weekend. So, we are going to be driving up to Green Bay on Sunday and hold a packet pick-up at The Bar (2001 Holmgren Way) from NOON UNTIL 3PM. We will distribute goodie bags and medals to all those that had registered for the event during this time. You will be able to use your Tito’s ticket for a drink of your choice so plan on hanging around for another and grab some lunch off their menu. We will also be raffling off some Tito’s merchandise during this time. For those that are unable to make it on Sunday we will be making available means for you to have your items shipped to you ($5) via a PayPal portal we will post on the website FOLLOWING Sunday’s packet pickup. Having to cancel an event is not something we ever like to do, but I think we can all agree that the conditions we faced were well beyond as advertised. Again, we thank you for your patience and understanding and we look forward to seeing you on Sunday!!
MONDAY AFTERNOON UPDATE:
Hello, All. After being stranded in the motel all weekend we managed to get out of Green Bay and made it home this afternoon. What a storm!! We will be meeting with our team now that we are back and come up with a plan for trying to get as many people as possible their swag from this event. Please give us a day or two to put together some options with everyone connected with this event and we will post as soon as we put all the pieces together. Thank you for your patience. (On a side note, we are putting off posting the PayPal link we mentioned earlier for now)

WEATHER UPDATE #3
Due to the intensity of this storm The Green Bay Pause for A Cause 5K is cancelled. With the snow and wind conditions still perpetuating we do not feel it is safe to be on the roads let alone on a snow covered icy trail.
We are formulating some plans for a Packet Pick-Up on a local level here in Green Bay in the coming days. Please check the website and Facebook page for updates as we put something together.
For those that purchased Pet Expo tickets and are still going to venture out to that event, we have placed a list of those at the will-call window for you to pick up there.
We never like cancelling events but this storm certainly snuck up on us a lot faster than was forecasted. We thank you for your patience and we will continue to provide updates as they become available. If you have any questions please contact us at info@pawsforacause5k.run.

IMPORTANT UPDATE!! Please stay tuned here as the weather has turned much worse than expected. Safety is always our major concern and with damaging winds, sleet, rain, snow and hail we may need to cancel this event if conditions continue to deteriorate overnight. Forecast is for up to 6 inches of ice pellet/snow accumulation overnight and high winds. With those conditions we feel it would not be safe to put participants out in those conditions. We will be making a final determination by 6 AM Saturday morning so stay tuned here for updates. While we never like to cancel events Mother Nature sometimes gets the better of us. Thank you for your understanding!!
Saturday 5 PM
The Race is On...but with weather conditions being forecasted as not that user-friendly for Saturday's Race we understand some may not want to participate in these anticipated conditions. In order to accommodate everyone as best we can here are some choices for you to consider:
1. Come and Run/Walk as you planned on
2. Come to Race Venue between 7:30 AM and 8:45 AM and pick up your Packet and go home and keep warm
3. Join us at The Bar located at 2001 Homgren Way between 11:30 AM-1:00 PM to pick up your Packet.
4. We will be setting up a PayPal portal on Monday for you to have your Packet shipped to you for a $5 charge.
We can't fight Mother Nature in the 5K world but hope these options will give you some flexibility as we try to be as accommodating as possible.

The Paws for a Cause 5K Series along with the WBAY Pet Expo is coming to Green Bay, WI for a 5K Run/Walk. This Family/Dog Friendly event will benefit Got Your Six k9s. The event is sponsored by Tito's Handmade Vodka and their Vodka for Dog People program. Get this event on your race calendar as a morning of fun is in store...all to help support our furry friends.
As and added bonus Paws for a Cause 5K Series has partnered up with the WBAY Pet Expo being held April 13-15, 2018 at the Resh Center in Green Bay. We are very excited to be part of this event and invite you to take in the Expo following the Run/Walk. Get all the Expo details here.

VIRTUAL RACE DETAILS
Not able to make Race Day but still want get some bling and support the charity? Then registering for the Virtual Race is just for you!! The Virtual Race can be run (or walked) anytime and anywhere…even indoors on a treadmill Simply register as a Virtual Runner, complete the distance anytime you desire and email us your results (be honest) to post. We will mail you a complete Paws for a Cause 5K goodie bag including T-Shirt, Finishers Medal, Race Bib and other Tito’s swag within 15 days of the conclusion of the event. (NOTE: Virtual participants are not eligible for Finishers and Age Group Awards)
POST RACE FESTIVITIES
Join us at The Bar located at 2001 Holmgren Way in Green Bay following the race. This dog-friendly venue (outside patio) will be a great spot to enjoy some Tito's and to order some lunch. There might even be a few more raffle prizes available. Thank you to Brent and his team at The Bar for their hospitality!!
GOT YOUR SIX K9S
We will be running to raise awareness and funds for Got Your Six k9s. Got Your Six K9s is dedicated to helping wounded combat veterans through the assistance of professionally trained service dogs to help them cope with PTSD and other service related injuries. We are proud to provide the best-performing dogs for these deserving men and women.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This scenic route begins and ends at Riverview Park and takes us along the East River Trail.

RACE DAY DETAILS:
The run starts promptly at 9:00 AM. Check-in and on-site registration begins at 7:30 AM. We recommend arriving early and giving yourself enough time get your race packet and get to the start line. We ask that runners start in the front, with walkers and those with strollers and dogs start to the back. IMPORTANT NOTICE: This is a dog friendly event, however all dogs must be leashed at all times during the event. By registering and having a dog in attendance, you assume all liability and release all sponsors, organizers and municipalities from any liability arising from your pet’s actions.
PARKING:
There is ample parking available in the park area as well as along the nearby roads (Broadway and East River). Please be mindful of local parking ordinances.
AWARDS:
All participants will receive a custom finishers medal. The top three male and female will be recognized as well as top male and female in predetermined age groups.
