Welcome to our online registration for The Saxons 5 Mile Race.

Race date: Sunday 4th October 2026. Race start:11am

The Saxons 5 Mile Race (Race licence 31039) is held at the Saxmundham Running & Fitness Club, Carlton Park, Saxmundham, IP17 1AT. The adult race is open to runners aged 15 and over. Affiliated entry fee is £16.  Unaffiliated entry fee is £18. We do not offer refunds or deferrals. If you cannot take part and know somebody to transfer your place to, please access the contact link on the registration page and provide your details and the details of the runner who will be taking your place.

The race is chip timed. The multi-terrain route of playing field, footpath and track is fully marshalled and signposted. The race begins on the sports ground at Carlton Park. Runners head out to Brook Farm Road and Kelsale then loop round to return via Brook Farm Road to the finish at Carlton Park. 

Race HQ

Saxmundham Running & Fitness Club, Carlton Park Sports Pavilion, Carlton Park, Saxmundham IP17 1AT.
Free marshalled car parking, changing facilities and toilets on site. There is no bag drop.

Race numbers are collected from Race HQ on the day from 9.30am to 10.45am. Safety pins are provided to attach your race number to the front of your running vest /T-shirt.  Pens are provided to fill in your details and emergency contact number on the rear of your race number.

The use of earphones is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification.
Start and finish locations are on the sports field. The start at the top of the sports field is a 5–10-minute walk from registration.

A wide variety of cakes are available to purchase at the refreshments stall.

Five Mile Race Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to the first 3 male and first 3 female finishers. There are also prizes for first F40, F45, F50, F55, F60, F65, F70, F75+ and first M40, M45, M50, M55, M60, M65, M70 M75+

Only one prize per person. All finishers will receive a race memento. There are also prizes for first Male and first Female teams (first 3 finishers to score.)
