Affinity Hatfield Midweek 5K Race Series

A series of three 5k races, run on 3 x consecutive August/September Wednesday evenings.
 

26 August 2026* / 2 September 2026** / 9 September 2026

Maximum 350 participants per race.

Rules for the Hertfordshire County Championships can be found here.
Vet age groups are V40, V50, V60, V70 & V80 for both men and women.

Minimum age 14 years old.

Under UKA Rules. UKA Permit No: xxx  (Included in Power of 10)
Certificate of Course Accuracy 23/177.

All races start at 7.30pm

Presentation:

Presentation of prizes for the individual races (and County Champs) will be made after each event at approximately 8:15pm. 

Individual and team awards for the series will be made after the last event. 
 

Prizes:

Each race: 1st Male, Female. Best age graded Male and Female

For Series: 1st/2nd/3rd Male & Female.

1st/2nd/3rd Male Vet 40, 50, 60, 70+

1st/2nd/3rd Female Vet 35, 45, 55, 65+

Breaking the course record entitles you to free entry to the event series the following year.
 

Individual can only win one age group prize.
 

Rules of Series:

Individual:

Series prizes will be awarded for the times from the best 2 of 3 races. Must run in all 3 races. Age group in the open races will be calculated from the date of the first race. 
 

Team:

The team prizes are only open to affiliated clubs.

There will be a prize for the 1st male team and 1st female team.

A team consists of 4 male or 3 female members of the same club.

All 3 races will count for the team prizes. Runners must run all 3 races. Best times from 2 of 3 races.
 

Your Race Number will be allocated at the registration desk at your first race. You are to retain your race number for the series.

No refunds and no deferrals. You may transfer your place(s) only in their entirety and only before the first race. Please follow the instructions contained within your email confirmation.

IMPORTANT: If you give your race number to somebody else without completing the official transfer process or after the cut off date, you will both be disqualified from the series whether you have run in any of the races or not.
 

Headphones? Not of any description including bone conducting. 

The toilets are situated within Race HQ. They are NOT in the car park or in the bushes in front of the Police Station. We have received warnings from both Affinity Water and the Police. Anyone caught using unofficial facilities will be disqualified from the race series as this could put future events in jeopardy. 
 

Race Entry Fee

£10.00 per race for EA affiliated runners. £2 extra for any runner not affiliated to England Athletics.
A discount is applied if you enter all three races together.
