Junior MTB Race Series 2026

Round 5 – Mansfield

Date – Saturday 7^th February 2026

Location – Blue Range, Mansfield (the driveway is HERE on Google Maps)

Format – Cross Country

Welcome to Round 5 of the ACC Junior MTB Race Series 2026!  For the first time, this round is being contested at MANSFIELD.  The track is a newly constructed XC course in a private pine plantation just out of town.  The track is at the top of a ridge where it is much cooler, more shaded and breezy than in the lowlands.

GETTING THERE. 

• Head out of Mansfield on Buller Rd. 
• Near the edge of town, turn RIGHT into Crosby’s Lane. 
• Follow this to the end then turn RIGHT into Ogilvies Road. 
• Follow this to the end then turn LEFT into Rifle Butts Road.
• Follow this road for about 1.8km. Just as you get to some pine trees on your right, turn right into a fairly steep private driveway labelled “Blue Range” and follow it up to the top of the ridge.  The driveway is HEREon Google Maps.
• NOTE: A more direct route is likely to be closed due to roadworks

Vehicle parking is available close to the race village.  The total distance from Mansfield town centre to the driveway is about 5km (say 10 minutes).  Note there is a parking fee of $5 (which goes to the landowner).

TIMING:

• Check In/ Race Plate Collection from 8:30am (for a 9:30am start)
• 9:10am-      Marshall Briefing
• 9:20am-      Rider Briefing
• 9:30am –     U13, U15 and Over 15 will do laps of course A
• 10:15am –   U9 and U11 will do laps course B
• Check In/ Race Plate Collection for U5/7 only 9:45 to 10:15am
• 10:45am –   U5 and U7 will do laps of course C
• 11:00am-     Presentations

Number of laps will be adjusted to meet the usual target race times for each age group.

Mansfield is just under 2 hours from Bright (on the Hume via Glenrowan and Benalla is quickest). The town has multiple cafes and lunch options, some great local walks, and easy access to lakes and rivers.  There will be a BBQ and drinks available at the course but no coffee (grab a coffee at the Coffee Merchant on your way thru Mansfield)
