19/10/2025 | Tannum Sands, Australia Fitzroy Frogs Triathlon - Tannum Sands Triathlon Triathlon + Capricornia Schools Selection

Frogs are back in action on the 19th of October with our third time hosting the Capricornia School Sports selection races. But never fear, the events will also be open to adults as well so this is sure to be our biggest and most exciting Tannum Sands event ever. This event includes:

  • An enticer triathlon* / duathlon / aquathlon*
  • A sprint triathlon* / duathlon / aquathlon*

    * school sport selection race – other participants welcome subject to age limits (see below)

Due to the nature of the Tannum Sands event, please note that no entries will be accepted on the day, or after entries have been closed. (17/10/2025 11:59:59pm)

ABOUT

Tannum Sands is a gem of a venue that Frogs visit twice during the season.

Race formats are the same as our Emu Park, offering enticer and sprint options in duathlon, aquathlon and triathlon.

Tannum is a sweet little get-away too. Many of us head down on Saturday, spend the afternoon relaxing, catch a feed whilst we talk crap and then hit the sack before waking to the magic of Tannum and excitement of an event.

  • The Aquathlon consists of a 1km beach run, 200m swim and another 1km beach run. Longer distance aquathletes have the option of doing the course twice (back-to-back). The Aquathlon will be held on the beach once the triathletes have completed the swim portion of their event. Please ensure you gather down on the beach prior to your start time to await further instructions.
  • The enticer triathlon / duathlon begins with a 350m swim (or 2.5km run for duathletes), followed by a 9km ride and finishing with a 2.5km run.
  • The sprint triathlon / duathlon begins with two laps of the 350m swim course, including a beach run between laps (or 2.5km run for duathletes), followed by a 20km ride and finishing with a 5km run.
