RACE ENTRY

  • Entries Open: 8 September 2025
  • T-Shirt Option Closes: Midnight, 22 October 2025
  • Entries Close: Midnight, 8 November 2025 or when 500 competitors are reached
  • All entries must be made online via the “Registration” tab.
  • Confirmation will be sent by email from the entry system.

ENTRY FEES

IOMVAC Members - £30

Affiliated to an Athletic Club (Affiliated with UK Athletics – please see below clubs) - £35.00

Unattached - £40.00

Late Entries - £45.00 (Late Entry closing date is 15th October 2025)

  • Once entries are full or officially closed, Late Entries will be placed on a waiting list.
  • Applicants admitted from the waiting list will be notified by 17th October 2025.
  • Late entries will not be applicable for T-Shirts

ISLE OF MAN HALF-MARATHON RUN CHAMPIONSHIP – ELIGIBILITY

  • Entrants must be members of a local athletic club (IOMVAC, Manx Fell Runners, Manx Harriers AC, Northern AC, Western AC – NOT MANX TRI CLUB) and either:
    • Born in the Isle of Man, or
    • Resided continuously in the Isle of Man for at least nine months prior to race day.
  • IOMAA Championship medals will be awarded to the first 3 eligible men and first 3 eligible ladies.
  • Competitors eligible for both the Open race and the Championship who finish in award positions may receive both awards.
  • Entry is automatic for all local affiliated club members.
  • Club vests must be worn if participating in the Championship event.

AGE LIMITS

Walk: Entrants must be 17 years of age on day of race. Rule No: 308 Maximum Distances

Run: Entrants must be over 17 years of age @ 31.08.25 – Rule No: 207 Age Groups (3)

TIME LIMIT

There is a time limit that expires at 11.30am.

RACE NUMBERS & TIMING CHIPS

  • Timing chips are integrated with your bib number and must be pinned to the front of your vest using the safety pins provided.
  • Walkers will receive a second number (no chip) to be pinned to the back of your shirt.
  • Both numbers must be visible at all times during the race and do not need to be returned.
  • Write your emergency contact details and any medical conditions on the reverse of your bib.

RACE REGISTRATION

  • Race numbers and bibs (with integrated timing chips) will be issued at:
    Friday 21st November 2025, 5:30–7:00 pm
    Manx Harriers Clubhouse, NSC, Douglas
  • No registration will be available after this date.
  • IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND, PLEASE ARRANGE FOR SOMEONE TO REGISTER ON YOUR BEHALF.

PARKING INFORMATION

  • Competitor and supporter parking is in the Airport Long Stay Car Park (left of the roundabout).
  • Event parking permits must be displayed at all times; these are issued at registration and valid only for the event duration.
  • Ronaldsway Industrial Estate Road will be closed to all traffic during the event to ensure competitor safety.

START AREA INFORMATION

  • Location: Ronaldsway Industrial Estate, start line next to the Fire Station.
  • Facilities: Port-a-loos available; no changing rooms — please arrive ready to walk or run.
  • Bag Storage: A locked van will be available next to the Port-a-loos for kit bags.

THE COURSE

  • Start: Ronaldsway Industrial Estate, next to the Fire Station.
  • Finish: Ronaldsway Industrial Estate, next to Strix.
  • Initial Loop: Complete 1 lap of the Industrial Estate.
  • Main Course (2 laps):
  1. Exit the Estate, turn left towards Ballasalla.
  2. Pass through Ballasalla, over the level crossing, past the Whitestone Pub.
  3. Turn left at the Ballasalla Stores roundabout, continue to Cross Four Ways and onto the Southern 100 course (in reverse).
  4. Pass through Billown towards Ballabeg Corner; turn left.
  5. Continue to Ballakeighan Corner; turn left onto the Castletown By-Pass.
  6. At Castletown, go straight at the railway bridge traffic lights, keep left at the next roundabout, passing Viking & Sidings Pubs and Station Garage.
  7. Turn left at Janet’s Corner roundabout, pass King William’s College, and return to Airport roundabout.
  • Final Loop: After 2 laps, re-enter the Industrial Estate for a final lap, finishing near the lane to the old Ronaldsway Social Club.

ROAD SAFETY

  • Runners must keep left and in single file unless directed otherwise by marshals.
  • The course uses busy, narrow open roads and is not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies.
  • Following the race in a vehicle is not permitted.
  • Reminder: You will be running on open roads — please run sensibly and carefully.

HEAD-PHONES AND RACE KIT

  • Headphones and ear buds are not permitted on the course so runners can hear marshals and traffic.
  • Open-ear’ headphones are allowed in line with UKA rules.
  • Breaching this rule may result in disqualification and ineligibility for awards.
  • For safety, hi-viz tops or bright clothing are recommended for all runners and walkers.

SUPPORT VEHICLES

***SUPPORT VEHICLES INCLUDING CYCLISTS ARE NOT PERMITTED AND WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION***

DRINKS POLICY

  • Drinks may only be taken from official race drink stations.
  • Support vehicles or personal assistance along the course are not allowed – doing so will result in disqualification.
  • Drink stations are at Billown Dip and Castletown By-pass start.
  • Personal drinks can be put into their respective boxes next to the start line by:
    • Walk Boxes: 7:50 am
    • Run Boxes: 8:15 am
  • Clearly mark your bottles with your race number.
  • Water is also available at the finish.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY WATER BOTTLES LEFT AT THE WATER STATIONS WILL BE DISPOSED OF AFTER THE EVENT

PRESENTATION / FOOD

  • The prize presentation and buffet will take place at Morton Hall after the race.
  • Supporters are welcome at the presentation, but the buffet is for entrants and race officials only.
  • Facilities: Toilets available; no showers. Hall entrance is opposite Station Garage with parking at the rear and at Victoria Road School.

In entering this event you agree that we may publish your Personal Information as part of the results of the Event and may pass such information to the governing body or any affiliated organisation for the purpose of insurance, licences or for publishing results either for the event alone or combined with or compared to other events. Results may include (but not be limited to) name, any club affiliation, race times, occupation, and age category.

DEFERRALS / REFUNDS

  • Deferrals may be carried over once only to the following year and are subject to a £10 administration fee.
  • No refunds are available.
  • If you deferred last year, you will be automatically entered into this year’s event.
  • Amendments to your entry must be made by 1st November 2025.

  • Perpetual Trophies (Run & Walk winners) – held for one year.
