About Top End Gran Fondo 2025
Gran Fondo means “big endurance” — and that's exactly what this event delivers. The Sunbuild Top End Gran Fondo is the Northern Territory’s largest and most iconic community cycling event, hosted annually by the Darwin Cycling Club. Since 2012, this epic ride has brought together competitive, amateur, and recreational cyclists of all levels for a truly unique Top End experience.

Price: $150, Start Time 6:30AMThe 135km Sunbuild Top End Gran Fondo course will take in three loops of the course including through the Charles Darwin National Park. This year’s 135km route is a great challenge for those that participated in the Top End Tonne (100km) in 2023 and can be a personal challenge to complete the distance, or for those returning, an opportunity to improve on your time. Includes 2025 Event Jersey! |

Price: $125 Start Time 6:45AMThe 92km Inpex Top End Fondo course will comprise two loops of the course including through the Charles Darwin National Park. This is a great option for those who participated in the half Fondo last year and want to push themselves to ride that bit further, or for the regular Tonne rider, a great chance to see how you stack up against your previous times. Includes 2025 Event Jersey! |

Price: $100, Start Time 7:00AMThe 49km Darwin Family Law Half Fondo Is one full lap of the new Fondo course! Closed to cars and completely traffic-free, challenge yourself to finish the 41km ride, or challenge your friends to see who can finish fastest. This event is sponsored by Darwin Family Law who also promote the Polly-pedal, offering $500 to the chosen charity for any Member of Parliament participating in the longer Fondo rides. Price: $20, Start Time 10:00AMThe 15km AANT Top End Short Fondo course will look very familiar to those who took part in the 22km event last year, and will leave the Darwin Waterfront and and head to the Charles Darwin National Park and back. This is a great opportunity for those with school kids or community groups and those just starting on their bikes to get out and give it a go on a safe, closed road. Try the 15km ride with other like-minded cyclists for a Sunday morning! Parent Entry: Any parent or guardian can enter the 15km event for free with their child, but free entries will not receive the event bag/bottle/timing chip and will not appear in the results. |

Price: FREE, Time: 10:00AMThis year's family ride is 5km to Gonzales Road and back and is a safe, closed course. The first 200 entrants to sign up will receive a 2024 TEGF Bag and Drink Bottle to take home and remember the day by! |
