Join us for the "Living Free with HIV" charity run in Paris on October 18, 2025, as we mark the grand finale of the 20th European AIDS Conference!
This run raises awareness about HIV-related stigma and discrimination, while promoting health, dignity, and equal rights for people living with HIV.

By participating, you support the French NGO Les petits bonheurs, which brings moments of joy to people living with HIV and fosters a movement for positive change. Whether you run, walk, or cheer from the sidelines, your presence makes a difference!

🗓 Event Details

  • Date: Saturday, October 18, 2025
  • Distance: 2.6 km (1 loop) or 5.2 km (2 loops)
  • Location: Bois de Boulogne, Paris — the run circles the Lac Inférieur, with start and finish between the Pavillon Royal and the Chalet des Bosquettes
  • Time: Start at 15:00

 


 

🎫 Registration
Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email. Late registrations will also be available on-site.

  • Participation is open to everyone.
  • The event itself is free to attend — visit awareness tents, meet volunteers, and enjoy the inclusive atmosphere.
  • To join the run, we ask for a symbolic participation fee (donation), directly supporting Les petits bonheurs:
    • 10 EUR (regular participants)
    • 5 EUR (students and community members)
      ➡️ Registration includes a bib number and a finisher's medal
      ➡️ Optional T-shirts can be pre-ordered during registration.

 


 

🗺 Route
The run takes place around the Lac Inférieur, with start and finish between the Pavillon Royal and Chalet des Bosquettes.
The route will be clearly marked with "Living Free with HIV" flags — guiding you and symbolizing the cause.

🔢 Start Number Pick-Up

  • During the conference at the Life4me+ booth, or
  • On October 18 at the information booth in the start/finish area
    • Google Maps

      Please provide your name/number or confirmation email when picking up your bib.
      Pick-up closes 10 minutes before the run.
      Wear your start number clearly on the front of your body, and do not remove or bend the timing chip attached to it.

This event follows the official Charter for Eco-responsible Events of the City of Paris.

We are committed to hosting a clean, respectful and low-impact event:

  • reusable or personal water bottles only – no single-use plastic
  • minimal waste – any waste will be sorted and taken away by our team
  • smoke-free event
  • no generators, no amplified music
  • lightweight tents and signage only – no ground fixings
  • route flags will be removed after the event (see example photo above under “Route”)

Timing

  • This is not a competitive race.
  • A single-use timing chip is included for personal interest.
  • Your time will be measured from the official start (gun time) to when you cross the finish line.
