Amazing race- as always!! The Gate River Run is my favorite and it is a family tradition. I am so grateful the race was still on, and in-person this year. I had so much fun running with everybody. This event was much needed after all that has happened since running it last year, and it was so refreshing. You all did a great job!!!!! Thank you for the hard work that went in behind the scenes to make race day and the packet pick up/expo so so enjoyable, all was a smooth process. Can't wait for next year.
ONLY complaint (something controllable by race organizers) is that cups littered most of the water stops, due to lack of either trash bags/bins or volunteer force deployment. Course support otherwise was exceptional to include more than expected encouragement from bystanders, despite the weather conditions (cool was good, wind...not so much)!
What is my end time? Did they stop updating results after top 3? We should have the right to know our time so that we can keep coming back to the gate next year to improve our time...
I still don’t see my finish time.
i dont see my time for my 5k run
Did the 5K. Only complaint - Had a terrible time trying to get to event parking with all the roads blocked. There should have signs to help you navigate around the closures or better directions in the emails sent for ‘day of event parking directions “ to get around the closed roads.
If anyone could pull this race off in the midst of a global pandemic it's Doug Allred and his amazing team. They did it in 1993 during the Storm of the Century with white-caps on River Road, downed power lines and trees on the course and sub freezing temperatures. And now, for the second time staging this race during the Pandemic.
From myself and I'm sure the rest of the STREAKERS, Thank You.
