NORTHERN AC 10km Run: part of the No Rest for the Wicked Week or stand alone race 

 

Tuesday 11th August 2020, 7pm

 

Entries close Monday 10/08/20 8pm.  There will be no entries taken on the day

 

PLEASE NOTE IF YOU HAVE ENTERED THE NO REST FOR THE WICKED SERIES YOU ARE AUTOMATICALLY ENTERED FOR THIS EVENT

 

Open to all athletes aged 15 or over on the day of the race.

 

Course description:

A 3 lap measured 10km road race that starts adjacent to the Park by Ramsey Rugby Club and heads north alongside the BMX track towards the main road.

From here turn left and continue along Vollan Crescent (the row of houses), then uphill until you reach the junction with Bride Road. Turn left and continue to the junction with the Andreas Road, then turn left again and continue back towards town.

Run downhill to the bottom of Bowring Road and turn left on to North Shore Road. Turn left again opposite the motor bike shop and continue along the road by Ballacloan football ground to the park entrance.

Run all the way through the Park, past the tennis courts and playground and then turn back out of the Park and follow the course for 2 more laps finishing in the Park by Costa Coffee Shop.

 

Please note this course is on open roads and therefore runners are not permitted to use headphones during the race.

 

Fees:

£6 if attached to a club

£8 if unattached

£3 if in full-time education

 

Please note Northern AC athletes who have paid their membership before 10th July 2020 are entitled to free entry for this race

 

Your chip, strap and number must be collected at Costa/bandstand area between 6pm-6.45pm on the day of the race.

 

PLEASE RETURN YOUR CHIP AND STRAP AT THE END OF THE RACE (owing to covid 19, we kindly ask you remove your own chip and strap before leaving the funnel area)

 

The presentation will be held at Costa after the race.  We are unable to provide a buffet this year as we cannot use the Rugby club this year but Costa has stayed open especially so please support them as much as possible.
