Pre-Registration fee: $20, last day to guarantee a T-Shirt is 10.15.18 at midnight. Registration will increase to $25 on 10.16.2018, no t-shirt is guaranteed if you don't register prior to 10.15.18. Online registratin will close 10.25.18 at 10pm. If you miss online registration you can register the day of the event for $25, no T-Shirts will be available for day of event registrants. Race begins at 9AM, packet pick up and registration begin at 7:30 am
The Marmaduke Police DARE 5k is to help raise money to provide workbooks, certificates, graduation shirts, and much more for the D.A.R.E. students at Marmaduke School District.Any additional money raise from the event will be used to help promote police, school, and community relations. For example, sponsoring families in need during holidays, hosting community events (movie nights, fall festivals, etc)
With the help from the participants and generous sponsors of this event, the Marmaduke Police D.A.R.E. program will be able to thrive and shape the lives of several community members, particularly then younger generations.
A little about D.A.R.E.;
The Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program is the most comprehensive drug prevention curricula in the world taught in thousands of schools throughout America’s 50 states and its territories, as well as in 50+ other countries reaching more than 1.5 million students annually.
D.A.R.E.’s elementary, middle and high school curricula, as well as its enhancement lessons on subjects that include bullying, internet safety, and over-the-counter prescription drug and opiates abuse, have been developed through partnerships with highly respected universities and prevention education experts. Each curriculum has been developed and approved under the guidance of D.A.R.E. America’s Scientific Advisory Committee.
