RACE RULES
Cycosports employs the basic rules of any UCI event as well as common sense and good sportsmanship. There are some specific rules we would like to highlight:
Category Self Selection
As Cycosports employs an honesty system in the self-selection to the race categories. Before the event we will review Strava as well as recent races in the region. As a last measure we will also use the below to check rider’s performance:
- If an individual produces an ITT time that is faster than the slowest rider in the top 20% of the riders in the category above, Cycosports will have the option to review the time of the individual and potentially move them to the category above for the entire tour.
- If an individual produces a time that is slower than fastest rider in the bottom 20% of the category below, Cycosports will have the option to review the time of the individual and potentially discuss move them up to the category above for the entire tour.
Bunch Times & Bonus Seconds
For stage 2 & 3, riders in a bunch sprint will be given the same time as the rider in front providing the time gap is one (1) second or less. For stage 2 & 3 Bonus seconds will be given to the top three (3) riders of 6, 4 and 2 seconds respectively.
Team Results
The team time for the tour will be based on the aggregated time of each stage for the 3 fastest riders of each respective stage. The team with the lowest time will be the winner for each category.
DNS / DNF
Riders who did not start or finish a stage due to whatever reason, except disqualification, can start the next stage as well as support their teams within the team compeition.
Support Vehicles
- We welcome support vehicles and motobikes, however for everyone’s safety, they must stay behind the Commissiare Car that sits behind each Peloton. Vehicles that cause a “nuisance” will be given one warning thereafter videoed and the team riders will be fined 1 minute each.
Wrong Side of the Road
- This is an amateur road race and roads are not closed. You must, at all time, obey the road rules and stay on your side of the road. Commissiares will video repeat offenders with “time fines” potentially issued.
RACE COMMISAIRES & RESULTS
- Although not a UCI event, Cycosports values professionalism and fair play
- In the event of heavy rain, Cycosports may have to shorten or even cancel races. As such events are outside of our control and safety being paramount, no refunds are provided.
- Results will be published here - http://my.raceresult.com/69916/results?lang=en
- Any dispute regarding a top 5 placing must be lodged within 30 minutes of results published online
- Hand in your TIMING CHIP (loss of timing chip is SG$100)
