An open 50km road race walking event. Good training event and warm up for the Parish Walk.
The 50 kilometre open road event is organised by the Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service. It follows the Parish walk route from Peel to Ramsey, passing Kirk Michael, Ballaugh, Jurby, Andreas, through Sulby and finishing at Ramsey Fire Station.
The Walk is a perfect pre-race event for anyone planning to enter the Parish Walk in June.
This year will include a shorter 32km walking distance finishing at Bride roundabout and is open to anyone who is aged 17 on the day of the event.
All proceeds from the event go to The Firefighters Charity which provides various types of assistance to serving and retired fire service personnel and their families.
Each finisher will receive a medal. Cut off time of reaching Bride roundabout at 5 hours.
