Die Tour.

Der Startschuss der Tour Vertical Up fällt am 07.01. in Hinterstoder auf der Hannes-Trinkl-Weltcupstrecke. Auf der Strecke von 3.500 Meter mit einer Steigung bis zu 60 % sind 750 Höhenmeter zu bewältigen. Am 21.01. findet das nächste Rennen in Val Gardena-Gröden auf der Saslong Abfahrtsstrecke statt. Es sind 3.500 Meter und 840 Höhenmeter zu bezwingen. Am 28.01. macht die Tour halt in Pinzolo – Madonna di Campiglio. Auf der Tulot Audi quattro Strecke gilt es 2.600 Meter bei einer Steigung von bis zu 69 % und 900 Höhenmeter zu bezwingen. Danach kehrt die Tour am 25.02. nach Österreich zurück, zur legendären Streif. Hier erwartet die Teilnehmer die steilste Strecke mit bis zu 85% Steigung in der berühmt berüchtigten Mausefalle. Die Original-Abfahrtsstrecke misst 3.300 Meter und hat einen Höhenunterschied von 860 Metern. Das Finale findet am 25.03. in der Schweiz, in Wengen, auf der Lauberhorn-Abfahrtsstrecke statt. Die 4.500 m lange Strecke wird den Sportlern bei einer maximalen Steigung von 41 % und dem Höhenunterschied von 1.030 Metern noch einmal alles abverlangen. Bei jedem Rennen gibt es Tagessieger, in Wengen werden jedoch zusätzlich noch die Tour-Sieger gekürt.

Die Rennen.

Ziel dieses Events ist es die Strecken vertikal so schnell wie möglich zu bezwingen. Der „Clou“ an der ganzen Sache sind die Regeln – es gibt nämlich keine! Das heißt: freie Materialwahl, solange alles aus eigener Kraft angetrieben wird (kein Motor), sowie freie Streckenwahl auf der Original-Weltcupstrecke für die Speedklasse bzw. für die Rucksackklasse auch auf den Umfahrungen. Beste Ausdauer, beste Technik gepaart mit optimalem Material gewinnt!

Die Klassen.

Beim Vertical Up wird jeweils in Rucksackklasse und Speedklasse unterschieden. In der Rucksackklasse stehen der Spaß und die Freude im Vordergrund. Jeder Sportler bewältigt die Strecke mit beliebigem Tempo nach freier Materialwahl. Einzige Bedingung: Es muss ein Rucksack inkl. Füllung (bzw. das was davon übrig ist) bis zum Ziel mitgenommen werden. Die Zeitnehmung erfolgt alphabetisch. Es gewinnt jener Teilnehmer, der der Durchschnittszeit aller Starter am nächsten kommt.

Die Speedklasse ist die Königsdisziplin des Vertical Up. Hier bewältigen die Athleten die Original-Weltcupstrecken vertikal so schnell wie möglich nach freier Materialwahl. Es ist alles erlaubt, solange im Rennen alles aus eigener Kraft angetrieben wird. Es gibt eine Aufteilung nach Frauen und Männern, eine Rangliste und Preisgeld.

Tour Vertical Up

The Tour.

The Kick Off to the Tour Vertical Up will take part on the 07.01. in Hinterstoder on the “Hannes Trinkl” Word Cup race track . The course has a total of 3500 meters and gradients up to 60% with 750 vertical meters. The next race will take part in Italy Val Gardena-Gröden on the 21.01. on the Saslong Worldcup-Track. Racers will be challenged on a total length of 3.500 m, with a climb of 840 meters. On the 28.01. the tour stops in Pinzolo – Madonna di Campiglio. The so called “Tulot Audi quattro “race track is 2600 meters long, and a gradient of 69% and 900 Vertical meters are to be challenged. Then the tour returns to Austria – to the legendary “Streif” in the town of Kitzbühel. On the 25.02. the focus will be on the “Streif Vertical Up” again. Racers will be challenged on a total length of 3300 meters, with a climb of 860 meters and a gradient of up to 85% at the infamous “Mausefalle”. The final to the tour will take part on the 25.03. in Switzerland. The downhill race track “Lauberhorn” in Wengen will be showground for a demanding finale, with a length of 4500 meters, 41 % gradient and 1030 vertical meters.

Each event will elect a winning racer – the All over Winner of the tour will be announced in Wengen.

The Races.

The goal is, to climb each track from bottom to top in the fastest possible way – while it doesn’t matter how – there are hardly any rules! Choice of gear, line on the track is up to the racers, as long as no motorised help is included. The Speed class has to stick to the original World Cup track; the Hobby Racers can choose to go on easier detours. The winning concept will be a combination of endurance, technical skills and well chosen gear!

The Categories.

The 2 categories are Hobby -and Speed class. The concept in the Hobby Class is fairly simple – Fun and Games. Each Racer finishes the course in their individual time and choice of gear, only condition: Each racer has to carry their own backpack with filling, which has to be carried to the finish! The timing will be in alphabetical order; the winner is the closest time to the total average time.

The speed class is the royal discipline of the event. The athletes will have to climb up the original line of the World Cup downhill tracks – again with free choice of gear – unless motor powered.

The result will consider the fastest female and male rankings and will be rewarded with prize-money.

 Il Tour.

Il segnale  di partenza del Tour Vertical UP verra´ dato il 07.01. a Hinterstoder, sulla pista di Coppa del mondo „Hannes-Trinkl“ . Sul percorso di 3500 metri con una pendenza del 60% i concorrenti dovranno superare ben 750m di dislivello. Il 21.01. sara‘ disputata la successiva gara in Val Gardena sulla pista di coppa del mondo „Saslong“, con un percorso di 3500m e un dislivello di 840 m. Il 28. 01. si terra‘ la successiva gara a Pinzolo – Madonna di Campiglio sul tracciato „Tulot Audi“. Qui i concorrenti affronteranno 2600 m con una pendenza del 69% e 900m di dislivello.  La seguente tappa del Tour sara‘ in Austria, sulla celebre pista della Streif. Il 25.02. nella cittadina sportiva Kitzbühel il motto sara‘ Streif Vertical UP. Qui ai concorrenti spetta la pista più ripida con una pendenza che raggiunge l`85 % nella parte della famosa „Mausefalle“. L´originale pista di discesa libera misura 3300m e ha un dislivello di 860m. La finale, il 25.03., si terra‘ in Svizzera, a Wengen sulla pista di discesa libera „Lauberhorn“. La pista lunga 4500m con una pendenza del 41% e 1030 metri di dislivello richiedera´il massimo impegno da parte degli sportivi. Ad ogni competizione verrano premiati i vincitori del giorno e a Wengen sarà inoltre eletto anche il vincitore del Tour.

La Competizione.

Lo scopo dell´evento è completare il percorso in verticale il piu‘ velocemente possibile. Il „clou“ della storia sono le regole – che non esistono! I concorrenti possono scegliere l´equipaggiamento che preferiscono, purche‘ venga utilizzata solo la propria forza (no motore). Inoltre i concorrenti per la classe „Speed“ e per la classa „Zaino“ potranno scegliere i percorsi e le deviazioni sull´originale pista di Coppa del Mondo. Vincera´ chi possiede la miglior resistenza, la migliore tecnica combinare con il miglior equipaggiamento.

Le classi.

Nella Vertical UP si distinguono la classe speed e la classe zaino. Nella classe zaino il divertimento e la gioia sono in primo piano. Ogni atleta completa il percorso con la velocita‘ che preferisce e con l´equipaggiamento piu´ adatto. L´unica premessa: bisogna portarsi dietro uno zaino pieno fino all´arrivo (o quello che rimane). Il cronometraggio avviene alfabeticamanete. Vince il concorrente che si avvicina di più al tempo medio di tutti i participanti.

La classe speed e‘ la disciplina regina del Vertical UP. Qui gli atleti completano il percorso originale della pista di Coppa del Mondo verticalmente il più velocemente possibile con l´equipaggiamento che preferiscono. Tutto é permesso nella gara purche‘ il motore trainante sia la propria forza. Si distinguono la classe uomini e donne, ognuna con una classifica e un montepremi.
