  • In the event of a tie on KOM points, the day’s KOM winner will be awarded based on highest points from the 2nd hill climb.

TOUR DINNER

Thanyapura is laying on a special BBQ / Seafood dinner for us on the outside lawn. Come early and have a drink at the sports bar. We’ll have a big screen up with pics up of the day.

During the dinner Stage II prize giving will be presented as well as an entertaining segment from our hosts Chris “Macca” McCormick (Two Time Ironman Winner) and Nick Gates (Two Time Tour de France Rider).

For the die-hard cyclists who don’t need sleep, the Milan-San Remo will be playing on the big screen until late.

STAGE III: The Decider – “Judgement Day”

Day Three will be the decider with a KOM section that will test the champions. The 89km course is on very quiet roads, however road rules should always be maintained and extreme caution taken on the downhill sections of the KOM’s.

  • Cyclists should gather at Gate A (Main Entrance)
  • Race order is Cat 1, 2, 3 then Gran Fondo. Cat 1 is scheduled to start at 8am with 10 min gaps.

  • Each loop has two steep hills in quick succession, where only the first is a KOM on each lap.
    • The course is neutralised on the descents of both first (KOM) hill and the 2nd hill. Both hills have extremely steep descents and safety of riders is paramount.
    • Neutralised means no overtaking and a top speed of 20km/hr on the downhills
    • Failure to comply will mean automatic disqualification from the tour.
  • The final stretch to the finish does have some local judder bars and a small tight section. Please take extra care along this section. Note: You will pass this section on the way to the TT start.
